Our Leaders

Bishop Leon D. Lewis was born in Newburgh, New York. In 1978 he joined Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ. After repentance of his sins he committed his life to Jesus Christ and was baptized in Waterbury. In 1962 joining the United States Army. With only a short time at Fort Ord, Bishop Lewis was then stationed in Baumholder, Germany, there he would answer the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

First Lady Shirley Lewis was born in Ohio . She serves alongside her husband in the leadership and administration of the church. Not only a humble Woman of God, wife, but also a mother and grandmother.

Leon and Shirley have been married since 1997 and made their home in Cleveland, OH with their son and two  beautiful grandchildren.
