HISTORY
Excellent Glory Worship Center was birthed on June 4, 2000 in the home of Elder and First Lady Lewis and their two year old son, Joshua on E. 137th street, off Kinsmen Ave., under the name Glory to Glory Inner- City Deliverance Ministeries. Then turned into a new ministry with Brother Kenneth and Sonia Townsend along with Sister Shelia Robertson. Several moves later , a man of God, District Elder Joseph Wilson and Bishop Lewis met. He felt led to relinquish his church, Living Water Church of Christ into Bishop Lewis leadership. With much prayer and fasting the churches merged. Later naming the combined churches Excellent Glory Worship Center.

Faithful in prayer, fasting, shut -ins, revivals, feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, local and stste jails, and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and the need for the Holy Ghost.

To be a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled church that transforms lives through the power of the Gospel. We envision a community where people encounter God’s love, grow in His Word, and walk in their God-given purpose. By equipping believers, serving our neighbors, and reaching the world, we aim to impact generations for the Kingdom of God.
